About the design
g e n e r o u s cardigan is designed to give that little extra to your everyday wardrobe. With its balloon sleeves and tight cuffs, it has an understated elegance with a distinctive look.
g e n e r o u s cardigan is knit top-down. The shoulder increases are different that regular raglans and you’ll knit generous balloon sleeves after the body-sleeve stitch division. There is a fine detail of 5 continuous stitches throughout the shoulder down the balloon sleeve opening. Note that the narrow cuffs, knit right after the wide balloon sleeves, vary greatly in length, and depend on the length of your arms. These are designed to be worn in such a way that they should push the wider part back, so that the balloon opens out from the elbow.
The bottom edge, cuffs and button bands are worked with a different gauge, giving the cardigan good structure, adding comfort, and framing the beautiful shape of the balloon sleeves.

Circumference around the breast: 98 (104) 110 (116) 122 (136) cm [38¾ (41) 43½ (45¾) 48¼ (53¾) in]
Arm length from armpit to wrist: 49 (50) 51 (52) 53 (54) cm [19½ (19¾) 20¼ (20½) 21 (21½) in]
This cardigan has an oversize fit. The positive ease, of about 10-16 cm [4 - 6½ in], is included in the final measurements. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL) correspond to the following bust sizes 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43½ (43½-47¼) in].
For example, if your bust circumference measures 88 cm [34¾ in], I would recommend you knit a size S, which is 104 cm [41 in] and falls within the range of the 10-16 cm [4 - 6½ in] recommended positive ease. I also recommend that you measure yourself before you start knitting to better assess which size will suit you best. Please remember the knitting gauge is essential for you to achieve the stated measurements.
